A former managing director at global consultant Accenture has joined Sionic as its head of wealth management and private banking practice.

Charles Bokman joins in the new Singapore-based role after a brief stint as the APAC head of Synechron. Previously, he was a partner at PwC and Capco.

In addition to Singapore, the firm also has a Mumbai and Tokyo office and will look to soon add presence in Hong Kong. The firm has made various senior additions which include Manoj Rane, partner of group risk and capital alongside other hires in the UK, Switzerland and Canada.

The newly branded Sionic was the result of a recent merger between UK-baed Catalyst Development and US-based Sionic Advisors. The firm has a team of over 300 professionals worldwide serving different clients including private banks, wealth and asset managers.

«This is a dynamic time for Sionic, with a stellar set of senior hires and further geographic expansion fuelled by growing global demand for our services,» said CEO Craig Sher, who was appointed to the role following the merger.

«I also look forward to announcing more new arrivals and new bases in the US, Europe and Asia shortly.»
