Taiwan Exchange Sends Delegation to Strengthen US Links
A delegation made up of members of the Taiwan Stock Exchange will visit the US and bolster linkages with investors and companies.
A Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) delegation, led by chairman and CEO Sherman Lin, will visit the US to meet with international institutional investors and technology companies, according to a statement.
The meeting with investors will involve an exchange of views on market developments and emerging investment trends, alongside discussions with NYSE (New York Stock Exchange), Nasdaq and other market infrastructure institutions on regulatory frameworks, product innovation, and opportunities for future cross-border collaboration.
TWSE has also dispatched a listings outreach team to Silicon Valley to engage with the innovation and venture capital ecosystem with the aim of attracting innovative international companies to list in Taiwan.
Strategic Goals
The intended efforts of the visit are part of the broader strategic goal for Taiwan to develop an Asian asset management center and advance the Asia Innovation Capital Platform – an initiative to build a financing environment for innovative Asian enterprises.
«Taiwan has become an increasingly important market for global institutional investors,» Lin commented. «Through consistent engagement and transparent communication, we aim to reinforce investor confidence and ensure that Taiwan remains a dependable destination for international capital.»
Taiwan’s equity benchmark TAIEX recently surpassed the 35,000-point mark while its total market capitalization exceeded $3.7 trillion, making it the world’s seventh-largest stock market. Foreign investor ownership accounts for more than 47 percent of listed shares, with the US being among the leaders.
