HSBC Bosses Meet India Prime Minister Narendra Modi

London-headquartered HSBC’s top bosses met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week to discuss the bank’s role in connecting the most populous country to the world and vice versa.

HSBC chairman Mark Tucker and CEO Georges Elhedery met with India Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week in New Dehli, according to a LinkedIn post.

Discussions were conducted about topics, including the country’s vision and roadmap for «development, progress and self-reliance». The bank also spoke about its role in supporting key national initiatives such as GIFT City, Digital India, Make in India and Startup India.

«Together, we aim to foster innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth, while continuing to ‘bring the world to India and India to the world’,» HSBC said.
