Bank of Singapore is continuing to expand its Global South Asia franchise with the appointment of Diya Amarnani as a relationship manager.
Amarnani joined the bank on September 21 and is based in Singapore. She reports to Bikram Sen, Market Head, Global South Asia and International.
Nearly 15 years of experience
Amarnani joins from DBS Private Bank, where she advised high-net-worth clients on their wealth management and investment needs.
She brings close to 15 years of experience across private banking, wealth management and financial advisory. Before joining DBS Private Bank, she was a director at Taurus Wealth Advisors.
The appointment comes as Bank of Singapore continues to invest in its Global South Asia franchise, which the bank identifies as a key growth segment. The business is led by Zubin Dabu, Market Group Head, Middle East, Global South Asia and International.
More hires in Singapore
Amarnani is the latest in a series of hires aimed at expanding the franchise in Singapore. Ankit Swaika and Yatish Aron are also set to join Bank of Singapore as team heads in the coming months.
Over the past year, the bank has recruited several experienced private bankers from major competitors. Priyanka Maheshwari joined from HSBC Private Bank, Dinesh Chaudhary from Julius Baer and Ritika Patel from UBS.
The hires underline the intensifying competition among private banks for relationship managers with established networks among wealthy South Asian clients.
Expansion in Dubai
Bank of Singapore is also expanding its Global South Asia business in Dubai. Relationship managers Mahesh Ramakrishnanand Shikhy Chandhok recently joined the bank there.
The appointments are intended to strengthen Bank of Singapore's coverage across major international wealth corridors, with a particular focus on non-resident Indian (NRI) and other Global South Asian clients.
