ZA: Hong Kong's First Digital Bank Hits 1 Million Users
ZA Bank has achieved a new milestone by becoming Hong Kong's first virtual lender to reach a million users.
In the first half of 2025, ZA Bank officially surpassed 1 million users, becoming the first virtual lender in Hong Kong to reach this milestone, according to a statement.
Total customer deposits also grew 8.8 percent year-on-year to HK$21.1 billion ($2.7 billion). Card transactions and total assets under wealth management increased by 33 percent and 125 percent, respectively. The number of Web3 business banking clients doubled, reflecting «strong and sustained demand for innovative financial infrastructure».
«Reaching the one-million-user milestone marks a new chapter in our journey and is a strong endorsement of our vision and strategy,» said ZA Bank CEO Calvin Ng. «Looking ahead, we will continue to drive product-led growth with a focus on wealth management and diversified asset allocation. At the same time, we are actively exploring digital asset use cases, as we work towards becoming the digital wealth management partner of choice for our users.»
