The insurance arm of Malaysian lender Maybank has relocated to a new office in Singapore.

Etiqa Insurance Singapore, an insurance arm of Maybank Group, has relocated to a new ground-level office at Capital Square in Singapore, according to a statement. The office is a step in the insurer’s «commitment to enhancing accessibility and fostering deeper connections with its customers» as it celebrates its 11the year in the city-state.

«We celebrate Etiqa's remarkable journey and continued success in Singapore as part of the Maybank Group,» said Alvin Lee, country CEO and CEO of Maybank Singapore. «This expansion aligns with our vision to foster greater synergy, efficiency, and service excellence, further strengthening our position in Singapore's financial services landscape.»

Etiqa first established its presence in Singapore in August 2014 and currently offers a comprehensive range of life and general insurance products, including takaful – a shariah-compliant alternative to traditional insurance. It is owned by a joint venture between Maybank and international insurance group Ageas with the former holding 69 percent and the latter holding 31 percent.
