The global payment giant indicates the step is part of its commitment to Southeast Asia and the wider APAC region.

Mastercard has launched a data and services hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a press release sent Wednesday indicates.

According to the company, it will help businesses and governments across Asia that use its services by providing them with advanced capabilities in the areas of cybersecurity, digital transformation, and credit risk.

Mastercard indicated that its data hubs, both in Asia and around the world, provide clients with what it calls «hyper-personalized» loyalty programs, product prototyping, and end-to-end marketing solutions.

Employment Opportunities

The step will also provide employment opportunities for local Malaysians and reinforces Mastercard's commitment to Southeast Asia and the rest of the Asia Pacific region.

The new hub will employ data scientists, engineers, and consultants and help clients make data-driven decisions.
