Axa Unit Names New Asia Head
The real estate arm of French insurer Axa appointed a new head for its Asia Pacific division.
Axa's investment arm for real estate announced the appointment of Laurent Jacquemin as head of Asia Pacific. Jacquemin will be based at the real estate unit's newly-relocated APAC hub in Tokyo. His promotion also sees him join the real estate unit's extended management board, alongside Steve McCarthy, head of North America.
Prior to his current role as European head of transactions, Jacquemin was global head of corporate finance and head of corporate finance U.K., he joined the real estate unit in 2001.
Reporting directly to Laurent Lavergne, head of separate accounts and responsible for international development in the U.S. and Asia. Jacquemin will be responsible for all of Axa's investment real estate in the APAC region including overseeing investment, asset management and capital raising activities from the offices in Japan, South Korea and Australia.
