DWS Appoints Australia Head of Real Estate
Deutsche Bank’s asset management arm has appointed an industry veteran as its head of real estate for Australia.
DWS has appointed Ben Taylor as head of real estate, Australia, according to a statement. Based in the firm’s Sydney headquarters, he reports to APAC head of real estate Matthias Naumann.
Taylor has nearly 20 years of experience in investment and portfolio management, most recently at The Living Company (formerly known as Scape), where he served as a fund manager. Previously, he also held senior roles in Sydney at Nuveen and AXA Investment Managers.
«Ben’s local knowledge and deep expertise in the Living sector will be instrumental as we establish a BTR (build-to-rent) platform in Australia with seed capital for the first project in our initial portfolio already secured. As a core pillar of our platform, we are excited to leverage the full potential this sector has to offer under Ben’s leadership,» commented Naumann.
