RBC BlueBay appoints Director of Marketing for Asia-Pacific
RBC BlueBay Asset Management has appointed Hayley Lai as director of marketing for Asia-Pacific (APAC), a newly created role aimed at supporting the firm’s continued growth across the region.
Based in Hong Kong, Hayley Lai will report to Jayne Fieldhouse, managing director and head of global institutional marketing, it says in a statement. She will lead marketing initiatives for RBC’s asset management business across APAC.
Lai brings more than 13 years of marketing and communications experience in the asset management industry. Most recently, she worked at PineBridge Investments, now part of MetLife Investment Management, in Hong Kong, where she led integrated marketing programs across key Asia-Pacific markets.
Her responsibilities included brand campaigns, content strategy, digital marketing, public relations, events and product marketing.
Regional Marketing and Communications Initiatives
Before joining PineBridge, Lai spent nearly six years at AXA Investment Managers, which was subsequently acquired by BNP Paribas Asset Management. There, she led regional marketing and communications initiatives across Asia-Pacific.
“We are delighted to welcome Hayley to the team,” Fieldhouse said. “Asia-Pacific is central to our growth ambitions, and our business across the region is built on relationships, local relevance and genuine collaboration with clients.”
Fieldhouse added that Lai’s role would focus on strengthening RBC BlueBay’s brand and presence across APAC as the firm expands its regional business.
Serene Sun, head of Asia ex-Japan business development, said Lai was joining at an important time for the company as it continues to develop its APAC operations.
“We are seeing real momentum, and Hayley’s arrival will help us translate that into even deeper engagement with clients as we continue to enhance their experience at every stage of the journey with us,” Sun said.
RBC BlueBay Asset Management represents RBC Global Asset Management outside North America. The firm is an active asset manager with investment capabilities across equities, fixed income and alternative investments.
