Bank of Singapore strengthens Dubai private banking team
Yasser Soliman joins from Mashreq Bank Egypt, while Amit Bhasin relocates from Singapore as the bank expands coverage of wealthy clients across the Middle East and South Asia.
Bank of Singapore has appointed two additional private bankers in Dubai as it expands its coverage of high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients across the Middle East and South Asia, it says in a statement.
Yasser Soliman joined the bank on October 12, 2026, and reports to Hani Alnabulsi, Market Head for the Middle East and Global South Asia. Soliman brings more than 30 years of experience in private banking, wealth management and business transformation. Before joining Bank of Singapore, he was Head of Private Acquisition at Mashreq Bank Egypt.
Amit Bhasin will relocate from the bank’s Singapore office to Dubai on November 16, 2026. He will report to Chetan Mehra, also Market Head for the Middle East and Global South Asia. Bhasin has been with Bank of Singapore since 2022 and has more than 20 years of experience advising wealthy families across India and Singapore. In his new role, he will focus on expanding client relationships across the region.
The appointments are part of a broader recruitment drive in Dubai led by Lim Leong Guan, who was named Head of Private Banking, Middle East, Global South Asia & International, and Chief Executive of the bank’s Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) branch in July 2026.
The latest hires follow the appointments of Mahesh Ramakrishnan and Shikhy Chandhok, announced in August 2026. Together, the additions are intended to strengthen the bank’s relationship management capabilities and support its growth in the region.
Bank of Singapore, the private banking arm of OCBC, is positioning Dubai as a key centre for its international wealth management business, alongside Singapore and Hong Kong. The expansion reflects the bank’s focus on serving affluent clients and families across markets in the Middle East and South Asia.
