William Blair IM Opens Trading Desk in Singapore
US-based financial partnership firm William Blair’s investment management unit has opened a new multi-asset trading desk in Singapore.
William Blair Investment Management has opened a new multi-asset trading desk in its Singapore office, according to a statement. The desk will provide dedicated regional coverage across asset classes in Asia Pacific markets with the aim of improving execution capabilities, liquidity access and real-time portfolio support for clients worldwide.
As part of the expansion, the firm has hired Steven McCole, a senior trader with over 20 years of experience trading Asian markets, including 13 years in Singapore. He was most recently head of APAC trading at Martin Currie Investment Management.
«Establishing a dedicated trading presence in Singapore allows us to more closely align our investment and trading activities with Asian market hours,» said Simon Johnstone, partner and head trader at William Blair Investment Management.
