Federated Hermes Unveils Plans for Hong Kong Office

US asset manager Federated Hermes will expand its footprint in the Asia Pacific region via plans for a new office in Hong Kong.

Federated Hermes plans to open an office in Hong Kong, according to an announcement made during the Asian Financial Forum in the city, subject to regulatory and other necessary approvals. The move is part of the firm’s strategic expansion to deepen relationships with private banks, family offices, wealth intermediaries and institutional investors across the Asia Pacific region, centered on a consultative distribution model.

«Asia continues to be one of the fastest-growing wealth markets globally, with clients increasingly seeking partners who can support more sophisticated investment strategies and portfolio construction,» remarked Jim Roland, head of distribution for APAC, in a statement. «Establishing a presence in Hong Kong enables us to work even more closely with partners and clients on the ground, providing localized service and expertise.»

The US asset manager has maintained a presence in the APAC region since 2010, with offices also in Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney. As of 30 September 2025, Federated Hermes had $871.2 billion in assets under management.
