SFF 2025: First Purpose-Built Intelligence Engine for Fintechs
At this year's Singapore Fintech Festival, the Global Finance & Technology Network unveiled ALFIN, a pioneering AI-driven research intelligence platform designed to bring clarity, credibility, and transparency to one of the world’s most data-saturated industries: finance.
The launch marks a decisive shift toward verifiable, explainable, and trusted AI applications in financial services, according to an announcement on Monday at the Singapore Fintech Festival 2025 (SFF).
As artificial intelligence reshapes financial systems globally, the Global Finance & Technology Network’s ALFIN stands out as the first purpose-built intelligence engine for the fintech sector. It directly addresses one of the industry’s biggest challenges – transforming an overload of unstructured data into actionable, verifiable insights.
Meaningful Signals
«The financial ecosystem is inundated with data but struggles to organize intelligence and distinguish meaningful signals from noise,» said Sopnendu Mohanty, Group CEO of the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN). «ALFIN merges human expertise with machine intelligence to deliver context-rich insights that empower decision-makers across the financial value chain,» he added.
Turning Data Into Decision-Ready Intelligence
Built for financial institutions, investors, regulators, and innovators, ALFIN translates complex market data into clear, analyst-grade intelligence. It helps strategy and risk teams make better investment and compliance decisions, while policymakers gain real-time insights to track innovation and benchmark national systems.
Madhuvarshitt Yerramilli Subramanya, director of engineering at GFTN, described ALFIN as a «verifiable AI Subject Matter Expertise engine» built on expert-reviewed inputs.
«By combining human judgment with rigorous data validation, ALFIN reduces hallucinations, builds trust, and ensures every output is transparent and cited,» he explained.
Built on a Decade of Global Fintech Knowledge
The platform represents the culmination of 10 years of industry collaboration through GFTN’s global Fintech forums across Asia, Africa, and Europe – including the Singapore Fintech Festival. Drawing on insights from regulators, investors, and innovators, ALFIN distills a decade of ecosystem intelligence into an adaptive AI system that helps financial leaders design smarter policies and discover new opportunities.
«ALFIN represents the next evolution of intelligence infrastructure for finance,» added GFTN’s advisory board member Axel Weber on Wednesday in his opening keynote speech at the SFF. «It brings transparency and contextual understanding to a field long dominated by black-box systems,» he added.
Benchmark for Explainable AI in Finance
Set for public availability in early 2026, ALFIN will be part of GFTN’s expanded digital platform offerings. The system integrates three verified data layers – proprietary network insights, trusted financial and regulatory data, and user-referenced context – creating one of the most comprehensive intelligence engines in global finance.
By leveraging GFTN’s network across more than 130 countries and its decade-long knowledge base, ALFIN aims to redefine how financial intelligence is produced and consumed – turning data into trust, and trust into action.
Impactful Ventures
Established by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in 2024, GFTN is a not-for-profit organization that bridges policy, capital, and technology to foster resilient, inclusive financial systems.
Through its subsidiaries – GFTN Services and GFTN Capital – it convenes global financial leaders, advises national authorities, and invests in socially impactful fintech ventures.
