Singapore Charts the Next Frontier of Digital Finance

The 10th edition of the Singapore Fintech Festival concluded on 14 November, marking its largest turnout to date with more than 70,000 participants from 142 markets.

The Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) reaffirmed the city-state’s ambition to frame the next phase of digital finance through technology, collaboration and global policy alignment.

Held under the theme «Technology Blueprint for the Next Decade of Finance», SFF 2025 convened more than 900 speakers across roughly 300 sessions, centring discussions on Artificial Intelligence (AI), tokenisation, and quantum technologies – areas increasingly shaping institutional strategy and investment priorities worldwide.

Accelerating Adoption of AI

Investors and industry executives examined the accelerating adoption of AI in credit, risk and compliance functions, the scalable potential of tokenised markets, and emerging playbooks for quantum readiness.

These technologies, once viewed as frontier concepts, are now seen as pivotal to competitiveness in capital markets, asset management and cross-border financial infrastructure.

Rising Demand for Policy Coordination

The invite-only Insights Forum drew more than 2,300 policymakers, regulators, investors and industry leaders for in-depth debates across 80 sessions. Discussions spanned digital money regulation frameworks, alignment on AI governance standards, and collaborative approaches to managing systemic risks associated with next-generation technologies.

According to organisers, the Forum’s scale reflects intensifying global demand for coordinated regulatory architecture.

Singapore as a Hub for Cross-Border Cooperation

The Festival once again highlighted Singapore’s role as a convenor for the financial sector, leveraging its central-bank-led regulatory model to foster innovation while maintaining market integrity.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) emphasized that SFF continues to function as a «global platform for policy dialogue, industry and regulatory innovation, and cross-border cooperation» as institutions worldwide prepare for a more digital and interconnected financial system.

Next Phase of Collaboration

Organisers expressed their appreciation to sponsors, partners, speakers, and attendees for contributing to the Festival’s tenth-year milestone, noting continued strong demand for collaboration.

SFF 2026 will return from 18 to 20 November, with the Insights Forum expanding into a two-day programme from 16 to 17 November – a signal that strategic dialogue among global financial leaders is set to deepen further.
