Amity Makes Singapore Its Global AI Hub
Thailand-founded enterprise AI company Amity is making Singapore the centerpiece of its global expansion strategy, opening a new AI research hub and regional headquarters after securing Southeast Asia’s largest AI funding round this year.
Thailand-founded enterprise AI company Amity has officially established Singapore as its global artificial intelligence hub, reinforcing the city-state’s growing position as a regional center for enterprise AI innovation.
The move follows Amity’s recent $100 million Series D funding round—the largest AI and machine learning investment in Southeast Asia during the first quarter of 2026, according to DealStreetAsia. The financing was led by EDBI, the investment arm of SG Growth Capital, alongside Asia Partners, SMDV and other investors.
The new Singapore office will serve both as Amity’s Southeast Asian headquarters and as the home of its newly established AI Research & Application Center (ARAC), which will spearhead the company’s AI development efforts as it targets $200 million in annualized revenue by the end of 2026 and prepares for an initial public offering in 2027.
Enterprise AI at the core
Amity has grown rapidly over the past three years, increasing annualized revenue more than tenfold to exceed $100 million in 2025. The company plans to deploy its latest funding across three priorities: accelerating the development of agentic AI, pursuing strategic acquisitions in Europe and Southeast Asia, and expanding its engineering and commercial teams in Singapore.
The group’s software platforms currently serve more than 10 million monthly active users across over 20,000 organizations in more than 20 countries. It has also agreed to acquire UK-based communications software provider Code Software through its subsidiary Tollring, further strengthening its presence in Europe, the United States and Australia and New Zealand.
Executive Chairman and founder Korawad Chearavanont said the company aims to develop AI specifically designed for Asian enterprises rather than adapting solutions built for Western markets.
Vertical AI models
At the center of the expansion is ARAC, which develops industry-specific AI models trained on enterprise data instead of general-purpose datasets. The research center is focusing on agentic AI capable of executing end-to-end business processes autonomously, with initial applications targeting sectors including retail, telecommunications and business services.
Amity plans to create up to 60 new positions in Singapore over the next three years across AI research, engineering and commercial functions.
Why Singapore?
According to the company, Singapore’s mature AI ecosystem, deep talent pool, regulatory environment and government-backed National AI Strategy made it the natural choice for its regional base.
The company also highlighted the country’s focus on sectors such as financial services, advanced manufacturing, connectivity and healthcare—industries that align closely with Amity’s vertical AI strategy.
The Singapore operation will integrate the capabilities of Amity’s five businesses—Amity Solutions, Tollring, EGG Digital, Amity Accentix and Amity-Nordstar—allowing enterprise customers to access customer experience, communications, analytics and AI services through a single provider.
