HKMA Unveils «Fintech 2030» Strategy
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority will adopt a new strategy to drive its fintech developments in the coming years, which focuses on areas including AI and tokenization.
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) unveiled its «Fintech 2030» strategy during a keynote speech at the Hong Kong FinTech Week 2025, outlining its vision for the financial hub in terms of adoption of emerging technologies.
Collectively known as «DART», the plan will focus on four strategic pillars: data and payment infrastructure; responsible adoption of artificial intelligence; enhancing business, technology and quantum resilience; and the tokenization of finance.
«The power of collaboration, across public and private sectors, and across borders, has set the stage for even greater success on our journey towards ‘Fintech 2030’. With a clear focus under the ‘DART’ strategy, let us join hands in reimagining the future of finance, opening a new chapter, and pushing the boundaries towards a more sustainable and inclusive fintech ecosystem,» said HKMA chief executive Eddie Yue in a statement.
