Julius Baer Hosts NextGen Workshop in Singapore

Zurich-based Julius Baer completed a workshop in Singapore targeting next generation leaders with talks from successful entrepreneurs alongside visits to tech and logistics sites.

Julius Baer hosted the sixth edition of its flagship Young Partners Asia 2025 program in Singapore from July 30 to August 1, according to a statement. The three-day workshop covered topics such as investments, succession planning, climate change and decarbonization.

It involved site visits to Google Singapore to explore the role of innovation, data and culture as well as DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center to view developments in digitalization, sustainability and customer-centric logistics.

There was also featured talks from renowned entrepreneurs, prominent next generation leaders and successful business founders such as Jerome Ng, executive director, Chiu Teng Group; Pamela Loo-Song, deputy group CEO, FNA Group International (parent company of The Cocoa Trees); Shayner Chioh, division head, operations & marketing, Far East Flora Market; Lee Ray Sheng, founder & CEO of A Hot Hideout; Theodoric Chew, co-founder & CEO of Intellect; and Khai Lin Sng, co-founder & chief investment officer of Alta Alternative Investments.

Participant Demographics

The event saw the attendance of 34 next generation leaders aged 17 to 33 – nearly half were aged between 21 and 26 – from Singapore, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, the UAE and Australia. Over 50 percent were students or recent graduates, while the remaining were primarily young professionals or next-generation leaders actively engaged in their family businesses or entrepreneurial pursuits.
