StanChart Hosts NextGen Entrepreneur Program

London-based Standard Chartered has concluded the second edition of its Young Entrepreneur Program aimed at the next generation of high net worth clients.

Standard Chartered hosted the second edition of its Young Entrepreneur Program (YEP) in Singapore, according to a statement. It saw 50 participants of 12 nationalities from eight markets – mainland China, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and UAE – who were the next generation of the bank’s high net worth clients under its Priority Private segment.

The four-day event focused on artificial intelligence and wellbeing, kicking off with a welcome event at the Asia campus of international business school INSEAD and concluding with a pitching activity by the participants to a panel of industry experts.

Global Experiences

According to the bank, the event was part of its integrated suite of «Global Experiences», a relationship-based program which offers Priority Private clients access to «differentiating experiences that help meet their aspirations, as well as that of their next generation».

«Besides fulfilling their investment and wealth planning objectives, it is important that clients and their families are supported early in their wealth and succession journey,» said Ong Lay Choo, global head, affluent client segments & distribution, Standard Chartered. «Through our flagship Young Entrepreneur Program, we aim to offer early and meaningful engagement to support the next generation in their entrepreneurial journey.»

YEP is a curated program in collaboration with INSEAD and SC Ventures, Standard Chartered’s tech and innovation unit. It focuses on building early entrepreneurial skills for the next generation, leveraging the expertise of INSEAD’s senior faculty and venture-creation experience of SC Ventures.
