Former UBS Treasurer Returns to Orbit36

A capital markets expert with extensive experience at UBS and Credit Suisse is returning to his former employer, where he will advise clients navigating an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

Swiss Consulting firm Orbit36 has appointed Claude Moser as Managing Partner effective July 1, 2025, as finews.ch has learned. A company spokesperson confirmed the information upon request. Orbit36 was founded six years ago by former UBS bankers Andreas Ita and Robin Dutt and advises financial institutions on risk and capital management matters.

With more than three decades of international experience in senior finance and treasury roles at UBS and Credit Suisse (CS), Moser brings deep expertise in global balance sheet management, regulatory strategy, and treasury transformation.

Strategic Initiatives

At Orbit36, Moser is expected to apply his expertise to help clients around the world navigate a demanding regulatory landscape, optimize financial resources, and strengthen risk architecture, according to further information.

Throughout his career, Moser has led numerous strategic initiatives in Zurich, London, New York, and Singapore, and was responsible for treasury functions at major financial institutions with multi-trillion-dollar balance sheets. Between 2020 and 2022, he had already worked at Orbit36. He then moved briefly to CS – and now returns.

Complex Transformation Programs

As Group Treasurer at Switzerland’s two major banks, his leadership was instrumental in executing complex transformation programs in areas such as interest rate risk management, liquidity optimization, capital steering, legal structuring of corporate entities, and managing internal and external stakeholders during both firm-specific and broader market crises.
