Prudential Launches New Office in Singapore
British insurer Prudential has moved to a new office in Singapore that will house more than 6,000 workers.
Prudential has officially opened its new Singapore office in Labrador Tower, according to a statement. The shift to the new space, boasting 170,000 square feet, was completed last month. It includes two and a half floors for its corporate office, five floors for its agency office and one share floor, housing a total of 1,200 corporate employees and 5,400 financial representatives in its agency.
«The move to Labrador Tower strategically unites our corporate and agency teams under one roof. We anticipate that the shared spaces and increased interactions will foster deeper collaboration, facilitate greater knowledge exchanges, and promote a more seamless approach to serving our customers,» commented Chan San San, CEO of Prudential Singapore.
Community Investment
To celebrate the office move and Singapore’s 60th birthday, the insurer will also make a community investment of S$880,000 ($685,000). The investments will contribute to household essentials for low income families residing near the new office, a cash donation to the Prudential Longevity Pledge – a fundraising program that supports vulnerable groups – and the establishment of community gardens that will grow and distribute fresh produce.
«With over 90 years of history in Singapore, Prudential has a deep connection with the country and its people. As Singapore marks its 60th year of independence and Prudential moves to its new office at Labrador Tower, we want to celebrate by investing in the wellbeing of our community,» Chan added.
Prudential has served the Singapore market for 94 years and as of 31 December 2024, it had S$57.7 billion in funds under management in the city-state.
