Japanese insurer Tokio Marine has announced the appointment of two C-suite executives for its Singapore unit. 

Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore appoints Jun Tokura as deputy chief executive officer, according to a statement. In the role, Tokura will work closely with the CEO and other executive team members to set the firm's strategic direction, drive operational efficiency and deliver value to stakeholders.

Tokura has over 30 years of life insurance experience and currently serves as special advisor for life insurance at Tokio Marine Asia. He first joined Tokio Marine Group in 1991 and held various roles including deputy CEO of Tokio Marine Life Malaysia and chief strategy officer at Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance in India.

In addition, Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore also appoints Esther Huang as chief risk officer.

Huang has 18 years of experience in financial, risk and capital management, most recently as a director at Willis Towers Watson where she led several successful finance transformation initiatives involving multinational insurers and regulators.
