The Singapore-based firm, which just raised $6 million in a series A funding round, has hired a former managing director of Deutsche Bank to support its regional growth ambitions.

Artificial intelligence-powered wealth management platform Kristal.AI has hired Swapnil Mishra as head of wealth management, the firm announced in a statement on Tuesday.

Mishra brings two decades of experience in wealth management, with stints at Citi, Coutts, BSI Bank, and most recently Deutsche Bank, where he was a managing director.

At Kristal, Mishra will lead the Private Wealth offering and will oversee product development and client engagement across all channels and geographies, the statement said.

APAC Expansion

Mishra's appointment comes just two weeks after Kristal announced a $6 million raise led by Indian venture capital firm Chiratae Ventures, which it said would be used to fund its expansion across Asia Pacific.

Founded in 2016, Kristal has $100 million in assets under management, and has serviced more than 10,000 customers in 22 countries, according to its website.
