Odyssey Launches Asia-Focused Fund Distributor
A division of Odyssey Asset Management started a third-party fund distributor to let fund managers access Asian capital.
CapConnectAsia hopes to connect best-in-class global fund management groups with the increasingly vital pool of Asian capital. The Asian region capture approximately 45 percent of global asset management inflows over the past 5 years.
«CapConnectAsia offers investment managers unrivaled access to the fragmented Asian marketplace through our pan-regional presence,» said Dan Vovil, president of CapConnectAsia.
Alternative Strategies
While the region has become an indispensable source of capital for investment groups, many boutique managers with strong long-term track records have nonetheless found it difficult to access Asia Pacific investors. Hence, CapConnectAsia sees itself as the solution to this problem.
Led by Barry McAlinden and Dan Vovil, CapConnectAsia is set to have a presence in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, offering mandates in the private credit and Asian listed equity space in the next few weeks. Despite its roots in private equity real estate distribution, it will focus on the distribution of differentiated, specialized and alternative strategies across various asset classes, including high alpha listed equity funds.
