10. Bitcoin's Boom
Last year's hottest theme in finance will keep occupying Swiss bankers this year as well. Whether bitcoin will hit $100,000 is of as much interest as the biggest question of how cryptocurrencies establish themselves in the traditional financial system and Switzerland's role – including the alpine nation's first cryptobanks.
The Swiss government must also find answers for the boom. The seven-member cabinet has already pledged a crypto task force to look at the implications of being a cryptocurrency hub for Switzerland.
