Leonteq's former boss was even more closely linked with the fate of the derivatives specialist than Collardi at Julius Baer. After a disastrous year, fintech entrepreneur Jan Schoch was pushed out of the firm he co-founded ten years ago. Behind the scenes, influential investor and fund-of-fund pioneer Rainer-Marc Frey has widened his influence at Leonteq.
He bid a new chairman, Christopher Chambers, who is spearheading the search for a new CEO. Leonteq's share advances suggest that investors are regaining their trust in the company, which needs to prove that its business model still works.
