The Singapore based private bank has added to its growing Hong Kong team with the recruitment of a former ABN Amro banker.

Angel Wu took up her new role as head of the product management group in Hong Kong on on September 5. A spokesperson for the bank confirmed the hire to finews.asia.

Wu joined ABN Amro in Hong Kong in 2006, it is believed she was not offered a specific role at LGT post its acquisition of the Dutch firms Asian wealth management units. Prior to that she worked with Dah Sing Bank, Citi, Bank of East Asia and Mees Pierson in Hong Kong.

The private banking arm of OCBC, Bank of Singapore has been experiencing robust growth by aggressively expanding its presence in Hong Kong and other key locations in Greater China.

Growth has been essentially driven by Hong Kong, where the bank increased its relationship managers by 49 percent, and its assets under management by 70 percent in the last 12 months.
