Crédit Agricole CIB Appoints Head Energy and Infrastructure Asia
Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (Crédit Agricole CIB) has appointed Prateek Bajaj as head of its Energy & Infrastructure Group for Asia, effective September 14. Bajaj, who is based in Hong Kong, succeeds Romain Voisin, who has been appointed global head of infrastructure in London.
In his new role, Prateek Bajaj will oversee structured financing activities, including advisory and debt arranging services, for clients in the power, infrastructure, resources and industrial sectors across Asia, it says in a statement.
He will also focus on advancing sustainable finance and energy transition initiatives, supporting the region's shift toward a low-carbon economy. Another priority will be expanding the bank's presence in developing market segments and countries, strengthening its Energy & Real Assets platform across Asia.
Bajaj reports to Edouard O'Neill, head of Energy & Real Assets for Asia Pacific and CEO of Crédit Agricole CIB's Hong Kong branch, and Jean-François Grandchamp des Raux, global head of the Energy & Infrastructure Group.
He joined Crédit Agricole CIB in 2024 as a managing director on the bank's Asia Energy & Infrastructure Group team. Before that, he spent 17 years at Rabobank, working in India and Hong Kong across risk and project finance roles covering Asia.
