Barclays Opens Singapore Private Bank Booking Center

Barclays has launched a new Private Bank booking center in Singapore, expanding its ability to serve ultra-high-net-worth clients and family offices whose businesses, investments and wealth span multiple countries.

The new center gives clients access to local booking capabilities while connecting them with Barclays’ international booking centers. The bank said in a statement the platform is designed to provide more seamless access to banking, lending, investment and wealth-planning services across jurisdictions.

The move comes as wealthy individuals and families increasingly manage assets and businesses across borders, driving demand for advice that combines investment management with financing, succession planning and family governance.

Barclays said Asia Pacific is expected to become the world’s largest wealth market by 2030. The bank also estimates that about $5.8 trillion in wealth will be transferred between generations across the region during the same period, creating additional demand for cross-border wealth and succession services.

Major Hub for Private Wealth

Singapore has emerged as a major hub for private wealth in Asia, attracting entrepreneurs, family offices and investors from across the region and beyond. Its position as an international financial center makes it a strategic base for clients with financial interests across Asia Pacific, the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East.

The new booking center will operate under Barclays’ «one Barclays» model, which brings together the capabilities of its Private Bank and Corporate and Investment Bank. The approach is intended to give clients access to the bank’s global financing capabilities, investment expertise and market connections through an integrated platform.

«The launch of our Singapore booking centre marks an important milestone in delivering our growth strategy,» Sasha Wiggins, CEO of Barclays Private Bank and Wealth Management, said in a statement. «As wealth becomes increasingly global, clients are looking for partners who can support them seamlessly across generations and jurisdictions.»
