RBC Wealth Management Names Asia FIM Head
RBC Wealth Management has appointed an industry veteran to lead its financial intermediaries business across Asia, strengthening a segment serving clients in key wealth markets from Greater China to Southeast Asia.
Royal Bank of Canada Wealth Management Asia has appointed Thomas Jost as Head of its Financial Intermediaries (FIM) Desk, according to a statement on Tuesday.
Based in Singapore, Jost will be responsible for the strategic development and management of the wealth manager’s financial intermediary business across the region.
More Than Two Decades of Experience
Jost brings more than 20 years of experience in financial intermediary services. During his career, he has held senior leadership positions at several major wealth managers, including UBS, Credit Suisse, VP Bank, EFG Bank and Julius Baer.
The appointment comes as RBC Wealth Management seeks to further develop its services and offerings for clients across its key Asian markets. These include Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
Long-Standing Presence in Asia
RBC has operated in Hong Kong since 1969 and in Singapore since 1975.
Its Asian wealth management business provides banking, brokerage, wealth planning, credit, investment and financial advisory services.
The Canadian banking group operates booking centers in Hong Kong and Singapore as well as an operations hub in Malaysia.
