CMC Markets Streamlines Singapore Operations
CMC Markets said it will merge its CMC Invest legal entity into its main Singapore business, a move designed to pave the way for the launch of a new multi-asset trading and investing platform in the coming months.
The restructuring will see CMC Markets Singapore Invest Pte Ltd consolidated into the firm’s primary Singapore entity, simplifying its corporate structure as it prepares to roll out expanded services to local clients.
Christopher Forbes, head of Asia and the Middle East at CMC Markets, said in a statement the shift reflects changing investor expectations in Singapore.
«The Singapore market demands a multi-asset platform which places choice above all else; owning a niche is no longer the answer as clients want a single platform—being able to invest into shares, wealth products, CFDs, options and crypto, and manage your credit card, all in one place», Forbes said. «This portfolio style of investing is at the center of CMC’s vision, and the legal structuring enables us to deliver this to our local client base.»
Simplifying Local Setup
He added that simplifying the company’s local setup «clears the runway for a platform that brings trading and investing together—something this market has been waiting for.»
According to the company, clients using the CMC Markets platform can expect new features and functionality once the multi-asset platform goes live. The firm noted that there will be no changes to its existing CMC Invest stockbroking platform, and current users will be able to continue using it as usual.
CMC Markets has operated in Singapore for about two decades and has built local partnerships in sports and talent development. The company said it plans to continue investing in platform innovation, investor education, and community engagement as it enters its next phase of growth in the region.
The upcoming launch underscores intensifying competition among financial platforms in Asia, where firms are increasingly moving toward integrated ecosystems that combine trading, investing, and financial management tools within a single interface.
