Standard Chartered GPB Expands Family Forum to UAE
The private banking arm of Standard Chartered has extended its forum for ultra-rich families to the United Arab Emirates.
Standard Chartered Global Private Bank hosted its «Global Families Network Forum» in the UAE, according to a statement. This is the second edition of the event after the inaugural one was held in Hong Kong last year.
This year’s forum was attended by more than 200 international clients and guests from 90 ultra-high net worth families across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Event Agenda
The two-day forum featured a welcome dinner and a full-day conference under the theme of «Shifting Paradigms» to reflect times of uncertainty. There was a lineup of speakers from 15 nationalities, including ex-US Secretary of State John Kerry. A new addition to the event was a curated next generation program where participants gained first-hand insights from young leaders and innovators, and participated in a ventures workshop.
«Our flagship Global Families Network Forum provides ultra-high net worth families with a trusted space to connect, share and learn, while our team of experts stand ready to support them in building resilient legacies that last for generations,» said Raymond Ang, global head, private bank and affluent clients, and head, wealth and retail banking, Greater China and North Asia, Standard Chartered.
