UBS Hosts 11th Tech Summit in Hong Kong

Swiss banking giant UBS hosted the 11th edition of its technology summit in Hong Kong with record-breaking attendance.

On September 11, UBS completed its one-day UBS Disruptive Technology CEO Summit hosted in Hong Kong which was based on the theme entitled «Crafting tomorrow, the future of technology».

The event covered a series of topics including generative AI, humanoid robots, quantum computing, healthtech and biotech, and sustainability. Notable speakers included Nobel laureate in economic sciences Christopher A. Pissarides, Junqing Wei, CEO of autonomous trucking firm Kargobot, and Piers Ingram, co-founder and CEO of Hummingbird Bioscience.

«This is the 11th edition of the UBS Disruptive Technology CEO Summit. We are delighted to see our summit continue to grow in strength, with a record-breaking 1,500 participants joining us this year,» said Iqbal Khan, co-president UBS Global Wealth Management and APAC president, during a speech. «Our theme this year is ‘[…] all about exploring the groundbreaking innovations and transformative ideas that are shaping the world of tomorrow.»
