BIL Suisse Promotes Former Credit Suisse and Julius Baer Executive

The Swiss private bank of the Luxembourg-based BIL Group has appointed a new head of Wealth Management. She brings more than three decades of industry experience and has held senior roles at both Credit Suisse and Julius Baer.

Effective July 14, 2025, Nadia Bargetzi has been appointed Head of Wealth Management at BIL Suisse, as reported by finews.com. A spokesperson for the company confirmed the information. In her new role, Bargetzi will also join the Executive Committee of BIL Suisse.

She will lead the Bank’s client-facing teams in Zurich, Geneva, and Lugano, according to further information. BIL Suisse is the Swiss private banking arm of the Luxembourg-based BIL Group.

Major Shareholder From China

With 90 percent of the group owned by Chinese investment firm Legend Holdings, the bank also benefits from expanded opportunities in Asia’s fast-growing markets. 

Bargetzi has been serving as Deputy Head of Wealth Management at BIL Suisse since February 2023 and has played a key role in the further development of the organization.

More Than Three Decades in Banking

Her career spans over thirty years. She began her professional journey at Credit Suisse (CS), where she held various positions in Switzerland and abroad for 13 years. She then moved to Bank Julius Baer, where she led teams across several Latin American markets for 14 years.

She subsequently held leadership roles at Quilvest – as Head of Private Banking and a member of the Executive Board – and at Decisive Capital Management, where she served as Head of the Zurich office, Senior Partner, and Executive Board member.

BIL’s Former Wealth Management Chief Exited at End of 2024

The former Head of Wealth Management, Hartmut Vollmer, left the bank at the end of 2024; CEO Hans-Peter Borgh temporarily took over leadership of the division.
