Alipay Now on Revolut: Instant Transfers to China Made Easy

Revolut is unlocking a major new corridor for cross-border money transfers — and it’s heading straight for China. In a landmark partnership with Ant International, the global fintech is now enabling instant, secure, and affordable remittances to Alipay users across China, meeting the surging demand from overseas Chinese communities.

With over 60 million customers and China ranking among the world’s top remittance destinations, Revolut’s latest move positions it as a serious contender in the digital remittance game.

Seamless Bridge to China

Through the partnership with Ant International, Revolut users worldwide can now send money in Chinese Yuan directly to recipients' Alipay accounts. All that’s required is an Alipay ID, recipient name, and address, and transfers are processed instantly.

This integration is a game-changer, particularly for overseas Chinese populations who regularly send funds back home. In 2024 alone, China received an estimated $48 billion in remittances, making it a top-five global recipient. In Singapore, it’s the number one destination.

Low Fees, High Impact

Revolut’s new service offers one of the most competitive pricing structures in the market:

  • Standard customers pay just 0.15 percent (minimum SG$5.90)
  • Premium customers enjoy a rate of 0.12 percent (minimum SG$4.72)
  • Metal customers transfer for free

This builds on recent fee cuts across Revolut’s international money transfer offerings and reflects the fintech’s ongoing commitment to making global finance accessible and cost-effective.

Ant International Powers the Engine

The transfers are powered by Ant International’s global remittance solutions — the same infrastructure behind Alipay+, which connects 36 e-wallets around the world. This ensures compliance, speed, and stability across borders.

«We’re grateful to collaborate with industry leaders like Revolut,» said Jacques Xu, General Manager of Global Remittance Business at Ant International. «Together, we’re redefining the cross-border experience for the next generation.»

From Disruption to Infrastructure

The Alipay integration complements Revolut’s expanding remittance suite, which already includes Instant Card Transfers, mobile wallet integrations (like M-Pesa and bKash), and free peer-to-peer transfers between Revolut users in over 80 countries.

As Revolut continues to innovate with speed, scale, and user experience in mind, it’s clear the company is no longer just disrupting — it’s becoming the infrastructure.
