UBS: New Partnership in Private Credit Space
UBS and US General Atlantic have agreed to collaborate in private credit.
According to Swiss banking giant UBS on Tuesday, a new strategic cooperation seeks to give clients better access to direct financing and other funding solutions.
The agreement formalizes and widens an existing partnership, uniting two leading global institutions to create a compelling private-credit offering.
UBS’s advisory and investment-banking capabilities will be paired with General Atlantic’s network, sourcing reach, and recognized leadership as a private lender.
Market-Leading Private-Credit Platform
Scaling the Credit Platform
The collaboration positions the partners to build a market-leading private-credit platform and capitalize on opportunities for their investment clients.
It will advance the General Atlantic (GA) Credit platform, which can benefit from expanded issuance options, while opening fresh growth prospects for UBS’s Global Banking capital-markets franchise.
GA Credit will oversee investment activities and head a dedicated private-credit team that also includes professionals from UBS Asset Management’s Credit Investments Group (CIG). The focus will be on secured direct loans to companies in North America and Western Europe.
