Authorities from Hong Kong and Switzerland held a dialogue for the sixth time on various topics related to the financial sector.

The sixth Hong Kong-Switzerland Financial Dialogue was held in Bern, Switzerland, according to a statement. The dialogue was co-organized by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the State Secretariat for International Finance (SIF) under Switzerland’s Federal Department of Finance.

Discussions covered various topics including the regional outlook, domestic outlook and policy challenges as well as developments and potential collaboration in sustainable finance, fintech and market connectivity.

The dialogue was co-chaired by HKMA deputy chief executive Darryl Chan as well as deputy state secretary and SIF head of policy planning & strategy Christoph König. Other representatives from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), the Swiss National Bank, Federal Finance Administration, SIF and the HKMA also attended the bilateral discussions.
