Citigroup Appoints Asia Equity Capital Markets Co-Heads

Citigroup has appointed the co-heads of its Asia equity capital markets arm in the midst of a pipeline populated by several major listings.

Ken Chow and Uday Furtado will head the division, the bank said, aligning the local business with its global structure which placed banking, capital markets and advisory under a single (BCMA) unit last September.

Chow has been with Citigroup for four years, most recently as its co-head of Greater China equity capital markets. Furtado rejoins the bank from Goldman Sachs, according to a «Reuters» report.

In addition to restructuring, the bank’s pipeline is currently populated by headline listings including Alibaba’s float in Hong Kong and Aramco’s float in Saudi Arabia.
