Temasek-owned venture capital arm, Vertex Venture Holdings, raised $290 million in its newest fund targeting growth stage tech firms.

The «Vertex Growth» fund is the newest addition to the firm's portfolio of funds, according to a statement, which added that the funds raised surpassed its initial $250 million target.

In addition to Singapore-based Vertex as the anchor investor, the fund was also able to attract «a sovereign wealth fund, institutional investors such as Cathay Life Insurance, corporates across industry verticals, and family offices».

Vertex Growth, which focuses on growth stage opportunities, is the sixth addition to the portfolio. The other funds include Vertex Ventures HC (healthcare-focused), Vertex China, Vertex Ventures U.S.A., Vertex Ventures Israel, Vertex Ventures SEA & India.
