Contineo, the network serving the wealth management industry, poached from DBS private bank to appoint a new chief executive.

Contineo, Asia’s largest messaging network and data provider for structured products, named Antoine de Charnacé as CEO, the firm said in a statement seen by finews.asia on Friday.

He joins from from DBS private bank where he previously held the role of senior director heading the external asset managers desk in Hong Kong. He spent the earlier part of his career with Societe Generale private bank in both Europe and Asia.

In the new role de Charnacé replaces Mark Munoz, who after three years leading Contineo from an early-stage start-up, has stepped down. Munoz will remain with Contineo over a transition period.

Singapore Dominating

«Under Mark’s guidance Contineo has grown significantly, doubling the number of subscribers in the last year alone. Alongside the recently established partnership with a new investor, Mark has built a solid foundation for Contineo’s future,» said David Wood, Contineo board member and Societe Generale Managing Director.

Contineo launched in January 2015 and has built up a strong issuer base, expanding beyond its original shareholder-dealers, Barclays, BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, J.P. Morgan and Societe Generale, and claims to be working with almost half of Asia's private banks. Although based in Hong Kong, the Contineo platform receives about 85 percent of its business from Singapore.
