DBS said it plans to hire as many as 100 software developers. Successful candidates could secure a job the same day they apply.

Singapore's largest bank said on Tuesday it plans to double the number of technology specialists the bank hired last year for an ongoing digital push. DBS targeted 100 new recruits in 2017. The lender will revive its a program dubbed Hack2Hire program to recruit, it said.

Last year, DBS recruited developers, data scientists and system engineers through the push. The program conducts an online technical assessment to gauge the base skill-sets required for the jobs.

Candidates who pass the online technical assessment will then hack their way into solving business cases in under 24 hours. Successful candidates will be offered a job within the same day.
