A Singapore legal tech start-up team has been chosen among 14 finalists worldwide to participate in the Global Legal Hackathon Final Round Gala in New York on 21 April 2018.

Regall is a local legal technology company developing an AI-based file management software that automatically scans, tags and maps references in documents to streamline documentation in businesses and law firms.

The team, comprising of Abdul Shafiq Bin Mohd Yussaini, Chia Chong Cher, Leonard Tan, Marc Chia, and Rodney Yap, will be pitting their skills against the other 14 finalists from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, Hungary, Nigeria and the U.S., according to a media release on Wednesday.

The team was selected from nearly 50 participants in the Singapore edition of the Global Legal Hackathon, co-organised by the Singapore Academy of Law’s Future Law Innovation Programme and Thomson Reuters from 23 to 25 February 2018.
