T. Rowe Price Group has hired from a rival investment manager for its head of Multi-Asset Solutions in Asia Pacific.

Thomas Poullaouec joins the firm with immediate effect, in his new role Poullaouec will be based in Hong Kong and report to Baltimore-based Peter Austin, global head of Multi-Asset Solutions and a member of T. Rowe Price’s Multi-Asset investment team.

Prior to the move Poullaouec was with State Street Global Advisors for nine years, where he last held the position of managing director and head of Strategy and Research – Asia Pacific at the firm’s Investment Solutions Group. Before that, he held various investment roles at BNP Paribas.

Poullaouec will engage with institutional investors in the region on defined outcome investments and deliver targeted investment solutions to meet their needs, the firm said in a press release.

Bulking Up

The senior hire is the latest for the firm’s Multi-Asset division, following the appointments of Lowell Yura, CFA, as head of Multi-Asset Solutions for North America, and Yoram Lustig, CFA, as head of Multi-Asset Solutions for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in June this year.

In Asia the firm recently announced two managerial appointments for its Japan businesses. Kuniaki Doi was named as head of Retail Business, with Yasuo Miyajima appointed as head of Institutional Investors Business.
