U.S. bank Goldman Sachs has promoted internally for the role of CEO in Singapore.

A spokesperson for Goldman Sachs confirmed in a statement to finews.asia «Jason Moo has been appointed CEO of Goldman Sachs Singapore Pte., one of our legal entities in Singapore. Jason retains his role as the regional manager for South East Asia and Australia at Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management.»

Moo has been with the bank for almost two decades having joined them in 1998 when he joined as a financial analyst. He was named managing director in 2007. He has held the positions of head of market solutions group and head of alternative capital markets in Asia in the past.

Moo takes over the position from Frederick Towfigh, who will continue with Goldman Sachs as retired partner, advisory director after serving for four years as Singapore chief executive.
