Aviva Investors has moved to strengthen its global real estate offering in the Middle East and Asia.

Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva plc announced the appointment of Thijs Hupkes in the newly-created role of director, Real Estate Client Solutions, APAC and Middle East (APACME).

Based in Singapore, he will be responsible for deepening relationships with existing and prospective clients in the region, the firm said in a press release. 

Aviva Investors Global Real Estate currently manages $ 41 billion of assets globally. 

The Singapore Hub

Hupkes has close to a decade of experience in the real estate investment management industry. Most recently, he was with CBRE Global Investors, where he spent more than eight years in its Amsterdam and Singapore offices.

Earlier this year Aviva Investors appointed a new Head of Asian Rates and FX also based in Singapore.
