Citi Appoints New Head of Commercial Banking in Thailand
Citi has appointed Sutida Tambunlertchai as Head of Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) in Thailand, effective immediately, as the lender looks to expand its commercial banking franchise in the country.
In her new role, Sutida Tambunlertchai will oversee the growth strategy for Citi’s commercial banking business in Thailand, with a focus on strengthening client relationships, expanding market share, and maintaining governance and control standards.
She will report to Gunjan Kalra, Head of CCB for JANA and Asia South, with a matrix reporting line to Narumon Chivangkur.
Sutida joined Citi in 2022 and has more than 15 years of international banking experience across commercial and corporate banking. During her career, she has worked in seven countries spanning Asia, the Middle East, and the UK.
Most recently, she served as Head of Commercial Subsidiaries Group in Thailand, where she led the expansion of the business over the past three years while building what the bank described as a strong and engaged team.
Citi said her experience and leadership record position her well to lead the bank’s commercial banking operations in Thailand amid growing opportunities in the market.
Sutida graduated with honors from Wesleyan University in the United States, earning a double major in Mathematics-Economics and East Asian Studies. She is fluent in Mandarin, Thai, and English.
