Hong Kong Unveils Agenda for Fourth Financial Leaders Summit

The fourth edition of Hong Kong’s «Global Financial Leaders’ Investment Summit» will be held in early November.

Hong Kong will host the «2025 Global Financial Leaders’ Investment Summit» from November 3 to 5, according to a statement by Eddie Yue, chief of the local banking regulator. In the fourth edition of the event since launching in 2022, 300 senior executives from the financial industry are expected to attend, including 100 group chairmen or CEOs.

The theme of the summit this year is «Trekking through Shifting Terrain,» which is a reference to Hong Kong’s renowned hiking trails.

«And just as hiking demands an eye on the weather, a change of terrain, and on-the-spot problem-solving, navigating today’s shifting geoeconomic climate as a financial leader calls for risk awareness, prudent preparation, agility and resilience,» Yue explained. «In a year marked by trade policy shifts, rising debt levels and slowing growth, financial leaders and regulators alike find themselves trying to stay afoot in an ever-changing landscape.»

Event Agenda

The event will continue its tradition of gathering guests for a welcome dinner on the opening evening, followed by the main summit on the second day, which will cover topics including trends and developments across macroeconomics, trade and digitalization. On the third day, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Securities and Futures Commission and Hong Kong Academy of Finance will co-host a «Conversations with Global Investors» forum.

«In just three years since we held our first Summit, Hong Kong has come a long way. The capital markets are booming, investments and capital are flowing into our banks, and the streets are once again bustling with life – all of which we do not take for granted, especially against an increasingly uncertain geoeconomic landscape,» Yue added.
