BCP's Dubai Office Becomes Fully Operational Branch
Geneva-headquartered BCP’s Dubai office has become a fully operational branch following the obtainment of a new license.
Banque de Commerce et de Placements (BCP) has acquired a Category 4 license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), transforming its representative office in the UAE hub into a fully operational branch, according to a statement.
The branch will act as a client-facing and advisory hub, while transactions and asset booking will continue to be managed and centralized in Switzerland. This will enable local relationship management coupled with access to the Swiss bank’s offering for high net worth individuals, family offices and institutional clients.
Office Leader
To lead the office, BCP has appointed Massimo Cangini as senior executive officer. Cangini has more than 20 years of experience at Swiss and international banks, including over 10 years in the region.
«This marks not just an upgrade, but a strategic development,» commented Marco Grilli, head of wealth management at BCP. «Dubai has emerged as a global center for innovation and finance. Expanding our presence here underscores our commitment to delivering bespoke, Swiss-quality wealth management services in a market that values excellence.»
Headquartered in Geneva, BCP was established in 1963 and has maintained a presence in the Middle East and Africa since 2006.
