Asia is EFG International's Asset Inflow Leader

Asia continues to demonstrate its value as an engine of growth and wealth creation, leading all regions in net new assets for EFG in the first half.

In the first six months of 2025, the Asia Pacific region generated 1.8 billion Swiss francs ($2.3 billion) of net new assets at EFG, according to the bank’s financial results. This was followed by Latin America (1.4 billion francs), the Switzerland & Italy region (1 billion francs), UK (600 million francs) and the Continental Europe & Middle East region (600 million francs).

In total, inflows totalled 5.4 billion francs but assets under management fell 2 percent compared to the end of 2024 due to a negative impact from foreign exchange of 11.7 billion francs.

Organic and Inorganic Growth

In addition to organic growth, EFG is also expanding in APAC via acquisitions, including its purchase of New Zealand-based Investment Services Group in June. The business has 3.4 billion francs of assets and the deal is expected to close in the next few weeks.

In terms of the bottom line, EFG’s profit in Asia rose 15 percent year-on-year to 17.4 million francs. Globally, net profit reached a record high 221.2 million francs, up 36 percent, driven partly by a contribution of 45.4 million francs related to a previously announced recovery from a settlement with a Taiwanese insurance company.
