UBS to Open New Office in Abu Dhabi
Swiss wealth management giant UBS will open a new Middle East office in Abu Dhabi. Flows from other locations, like the UK, were cited as a positive driver for the region.
UBS is opening a new office in Abu Dhabi, according to a «Bloomberg» report citing Martin Jimenez, the bank’s EMEA president, at the Qatar Economic Forum in Doha. UBS currently also operates in Dubai, Riyadh, Qatar and Bahrain.
«The Middle East has definitely been a winner for private individuals that have been moving away from higher-tax regimes, other places and other locations like the UK,» Jimenez said. «We’ve seen that migration of clients.»
